I am black and blue, I wish it wasn’t true
I am not sure how I got this way, and how my world became so grey
I am not sure why all the colors are gone, all I can do at this point is yawn
I wish the world was purple and pink, my wish comes true in a instant blink

I can see how there can be a connection between dreaming and wishing for something different then reality. In dreams anything is possible, so wishes can come true in dreams and gives a sense of hope to wishes coming true in reality. I feel like dream a little dream of me can connect to meaning dream a dream of where my wish comes true and things could be different.
