THE BLACKNESS OF MY BLACKNESS
The blackness of my blackness
My inner most private thoughts
The harsh reality of the world and everyone in it
The things I long for
The things I hate
My clearest thoughts before the world fades away
Who I am
What I am
What I want to be
What I should be
What is right
What is wrong
All of these are
The blackness of my blackness

The clip of Louis Armstrong that you chose of him singing " What a Wonderful World," has a bittersweet irony to your piece. My interpretation of "What a Wonderful World" consists of Louis Armstrong singing about all the little things you can see, hear, experience in the world that make you realize how beautiful the world and all its makings really is, the things you take for advantage (i.e "I see trees of green", "friends shaking hands saying how do you do", etc.) However, in your piece, your disregarding the world as a "happy go lucky place" in which the harsh realities of it can bring you to a place of darkness, or your blackness of blackness. Louis Armstrong has an understanding of the world, but in your blackness of blackness you don't because you don't know who you are, what is right, and what is wrong. This essence of not knowing essentially brings you to your darkness of darkness.
