"Rhetoric does not get you anywhere, because Hitler and Mussolini are just as good at rhetoric. But if you can bring these people down with comedy, they stand no chance."
-Mel Brooks
THE BLACKNESS OF MY BLACKNESS Every morning, I walk through the doors of Starbucks It is the same thing each morning at 7:45: coffee. Black coffee. I like my coffee black because I’m bad at making decisions. I don’t know whether to have two Splenda’s or maybe one? Cream, or no cream? Syrup, or no syrup? Sigh. So I just have my coffee black; just plain blackness of caffeine.
The comparison between "What a Wonderful World" and the Blackness of my Blackness is how wonderful the world and coffee can be. Coffee can wake you up and allow you to view the world with eyes wide open. It allows you to appreciate the world around you and not ignore its beauty.
